    The Data Rescue Project started in February 2025 as a coordinated effort of three data organizations, including members of IASSIST, RDAP, and the Data Curation Network. The Data Rescue Project is a grassroots volunteer community dedicated to access to public data for the public good. We enable rapid response efforts for at-risk public data grounded in recognized data stewardship principles. We partner with allied communities of data creators, carers, and their organizations to advocate for sustainable data access.

    Hi, we are Transit Live Mapping Solutions, Enhancing openness and promoting access to Dresden public infrastructure data since 2022. a small group of students, currently consisting of Marenz, Tassilo and 0xA, that ended up getting seriously nerdsniped by something that started off as a small side-project during lockdown. Our aim is to collect reliable real time information about public transport and make it available to everyone in a straightforward way. We are convinced that open data for commonly shared infrastructure will help contribute to a more efficient and safe state of operation. Check out the map to see what we’ve built so far.
