Now we customize Calamares via a simple config file, the way Calamares suggest that you do the customizations, and Calamares is now respecting the system’s theme too. No more old packages and rusty code.
Beaver Notes, our default notes app, moved from beaver-notes-bin to beaver-notes. We recommend that you remove the bin version and install the non-bin one from the repos.
We had to remove some of the themes from our TROMjaro Theme Switcher app because they were not playing well with the QT apps, so if you’re wondering why there aren’t as many themes as before this is why. Those people who like to have more customization options don’t worry you can still access all of those themes from the XFCE Appearance settings, just be aware that some of the themes may not play well with QT apps like mentioned before.
Changed the default layout to Windows-like, added custom GTK CSS, made the HUD wider, option to have a Virtual Keyboard toggle, switched to list view for the Appfinder, implemented a new Theme Switcher and the Flatpak fix using a new Colloid theme, improved the script for syncing the themes, better HiDPI support with automatic fixes for scaling, TROMjaro Welcome app.
Added the system-wide ad and tracker blocker (Internet Content Blocker) next to WebDAV support for Thunar and fingerprint reader support. Have a look!
Basically TROMjaro uses the latest Xfce and provides these from the get-go:
the Layout Switcher app with 6 customized layouts to make it easier to use and more functional (it can replicate most of the well known OS layouts out there: Windows, MX, Unity, MacOS, GNOME, TopX)
the new Theme Switcher app with dark/light themes and 10 color pairs to choose from (works with gtk, qt, even libadwaita, even with flatpacks!! - the ones that accept system theming)
tens of high quality flat-wallpapers that are hand-picked
a custom icon theme
the new system theme that has 10 color variations & is integrated very well into the entire system, supporting both GTK and QT apps
makes the terminal super cool, switching from bash to zsh
enables mouse and trackpad gestures via 2 separate apps (very powerful apps)
allows to control of RGB lights for the keyboard
automated system backups & a file-system backup app
apps to open or edit most known audio, image, documents or torrent files
a customized Firefox that removes the BS, the trackers, ads, sponsored content, and a lot more

Office 365 and Exchange gateway
Ever wanted to get rid of Outlook ? DavMail is a
POP/IMAP/SMTP/Caldav/Carddav/LDAP Exchange and Office 365 gateway allowing
users to use any mail/calendar client (e.g. Thunderbird with
Lightning or Apple iCal) with an Exchange server, even from the
internet or behind a firewall through Outlook Web
Access. DavMail now includes an LDAP gateway to Exchange global
address book and user personal contacts to allow recipient
address completion in mail compose window and full calendar
support with attendees free/busy display. The main goal of
DavMail is to provide standard compliant protocols in front of
proprietary Exchange. This means LDAP for address book, SMTP to
send messages, IMAP to browse messages on the server in any
folder, POP to retrieve inbox messages only and Caldav for
calendar support. Thus any standard compliant client can be used
with Microsoft Exchange. DavMail gateway is implemented in java
and should run on any platform. Releases are tested on Windows,
Linux (Ubuntu) and Mac OS X. Tray does not work on MacOS and is
replaced with a full frame. Tested successfully with the Iphone
(gateway running on a server).

A Markdown editor for the 21st centuryWriting is an essential part of our everyday life. Why make it complicated? Zettlr redefines what writing means. It is slim, fast, and versatile. Focus on what matters to you. Publish, not perish.
In modern times, getting a hold of the flood of information is almost as hard as inserting a USB drive the right way on the first attempt. Zettlr allows you to connect pieces of information using state of the art Zettelkasten methodology. Links? Check. File IDs? Check. File tagging? Also check. And the best is: Unlike many competitors, Zettlr never locks you in. Zettlr supports almost every conceivable way to create links and identify your files. In other words: No matter where you come from — all Zettelkästen are beautiful and supported by Zettlr. Out of the box.
Zettlr integrates well with reference managers such as Zotero, JabRef, or Juris-M. Simply load your library into Zettlr, and begin to cite. Zettlr strictly adheres to established standards and does not reinvent the wheel. Citations can be loaded using CSL-JSON or BibTex and the citation processor only uses Citation Style Language, the de-facto industry standard for citations. This enables you to use one of over 9,000 different styles from the official Zotero repository!
Due to its designing flexibility, Zettlr supports dark mode out of the box, as well as many different themes, suited to your needs. Switching is as easy as pressing a button. Not satisfied with the provided themes? No problem: Zettlr allows full customization of every single element; you can even create completely new themes using Custom CSS!
No matter whether you work with a lot of notes, such as a Zettelkasten, or simply have a lot of files with different important contents: Zettlr's revolutionary heatmap search lets you find every single note you've ever written. No more confusion over where that one citation was!
Twitter invented them and, since then, everybody adopted them: Hashtags! Zettlr goes one step further, not only allowing you to link and categorize your notes using tags, but using its tag-manager you can assign colors to tags to visualize your notes immediately!
Zettlr scales well with your aspirations. From the first texts in university to your dissertation thesis: Using the advanced features of Zettlr tailored to researchers, journalists, and novelists writing whole books is as easy as creating a new project. Zettlr will never stand in your way, just like a good app should.
Note: In order to be able to export to PDF via LaTeX you need to additionally install the extension org.freedesktop.Sdk.Extension.texlive

A geteduroam client for Linux. Geteduroam simplifies the process of connecting to eduroam
Geteduroam is a proposed extension of the NREN T&I services, aimed at increasing the update and use of eduroam by students and faculty members. The idea is to do away with the need for separate eduroam user accounts, and instead use national federated Id (through eduGAIN such as SURFconext, Swamid, FEIDE, HAKA, etc) to automatically generate eduroam login credentials in form of client certificates as needed. In addition, geteduroam will deliver apps for user devices that will automatically install and configure eduroam.
Eduroam is seen as one of the most successful NREN services. eduroam service deployment is extensive, with nearly every campus in Europe having an eduroam Wi-Fi network. However, in terms of users who have eduroam installed correctly on their devices, the uptake is much less. This is believed to be the results of 1) users need a separate eduroam account, 2) users need to install and configure this account on their device, 3) the need to do so become apparent to users only when they are away from their home institution.
At the time eduroam was developed, there was no simple way around this. Today, with the widespread adoption of federated Id and the global collaboration of such Id’s under eduGAIN, it is possible to develop what is essentially a more modern way on managing and deploying eduroam for users. This is the objective of the geteduroam project.

Private logbook with AI assistants
Lotti gives you a private logbook and a staff of personal AI assistants to go with it. Record your day the way it actually happens — tasks, tracked time, voice notes, transcriptions, journal entries, habits, and health data — and long-living agents read what you record, keep it summarised, remember the context you would otherwise lose, and propose the next step. Agents suggest, you decide: every proposed change waits for your approval, with one small exception — an initial title or language for an otherwise empty task.
All of it happens on your own devices. No server ever holds your data in readable form: multi-device sync is end-to-end encrypted, and the relay between your verified devices holds only ciphertext — not forever, and nothing depends on it keeping anything. There is no telemetry. On capable hardware the AI models run locally too, so your data never has to leave the machine; on lighter hardware, or to save battery, you route inference — per life category — to a cloud provider you choose. Your logbook is ordinary SQLite on your own disk with attachments in ordinary files beside it, readable without Lotti, so there is nothing to export and nothing to unlock.
Under the hood, sync runs over Matrix using Vodozemac (Rust) for Megolm crypto; the homeserver relays only ciphertext between your own devices, and encryption keys reach only devices you have verified. A new device catches up because your other devices re-send history, not because a server stored it.
Get support and join the Lotti community on Discord via the Contact link.
What it does:
Long-living AI agents (mission, soul, report directive) that read your logbook, propose changes, and only act after you approve
Two-database architecture: a strict separation between your facts (the user database) and what the agents think (the agentic database), enforced on disk
Run reasoning-capable models locally via oMLX or Ollama (e.g. Qwen 3.6 35B A3B, a Mixture-of-Experts model with ~3B active parameters) — or use Gemini Flash, OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Melious.ai, or any OpenAI-compatible cloud provider, on a per-category basis
Local voice transcription with Whisper or Voxtral; cloud transcription via Gemini, OpenAI, Mistral, or Melious.ai
AI-generated cover art for tasks via Nano Banana Pro on Gemini, OpenAI, or Qwen, and Flux on Melious.ai
Both the logbook and the agentic state sync end-to-end encrypted
Habit tracking with success/fail/skip completion types, custom measurables, and dashboards
Bring-your-own API keys for cloud providers, choosing per category where inference happens — EU-hosted, US, Chinese, or entirely on your own machine
Usage & Impact: tokens and requests for every cloud AI call, broken down by category and model, plus cost, energy and CO2e wherever the provider reports them (currently Melious); local inference is not measured
Time recording kept separate from planning, so what you meant to do and what actually happened stay distinct facts

Match tiles and clear the board
Single-player tile-matching game, commonly known as Mahjong solitaire.
Tiles are stacked on the board at the start of the game. The goal is to
remove all the tiles in as little time as possible.
Select two matching tiles and they will disappear from the board, but
you can only select a tile if there is an empty space to its left or
right at the same level. Be careful: tiles that look alike may actually
be slightly different.
You can choose from a variety of starting layouts, some easy and some
difficult. If you get stuck, you can ask for a hint, but this adds a
large time penalty.

GNU PSPP is a program for statistical analysis of sampled dataGNU PSPP is a program for the statistical analysis of sampled data. It is a Free replacement for the proprietary program SPSS, and appears very similar to it with a few exceptions. The most important of these exceptions are, that there are no “time bombs”; your copy of PSPP will not “expire” or deliberately stop working in the future. Neither are there any artificial limits on the number of cases or variables which you can use. There are no additional packages to purchase in order to get “advanced” functions; all functionality that PSPP currently supports is in the core package.
PSPP is a stable and reliable application. It can perform descriptive statistics, T-tests, anova, linear and logistic regression, measures of association, cluster analysis, reliability and factor analysis, non-parametric tests and more. Its backend is designed to perform its analyses as fast as possible, regardless of the size of the input data. You can use PSPP with its graphical interface or the more traditional syntax commands.
A brief list of some of PSPP's features.
Support for over 1 billion cases
Support for over 1 billion variables
