We challenge YOU to look at [[https://tromjaro.com|TROMjaro]]. All criticism is very much welcomed. We are trying to make TROMjaro score very high on many such relevant points.

  * **Look and Feel**. How flexible the desktop is and if it is consistent. [[https://pop.system76.com/|PoP!_OS]] for example, looks great. Same is [[https://www.deepin.org/en/|Deepin]]. Or [[https://elementary.io/|Elementary OS]]. Even the [[https://neon.kde.org/|KDE neon]]. But start installing QT/GTK apps and you'll see that they do not respect the theme at all. So they are very inconsistent. The [[https://www.gnome.org/|GNOME Desktop]] is also not flexible out of the box, so this is a minus. The [[https://kde.org/plasma-desktop/|Plasma Desktop]] is too complex and can be overwhelming. So [[https://forum.tromjaro.com/t/dealing-with-themes-change-them-understand-them/43|theme dark/light mode, and accent colors]], are cool, and yet pointless when they can't change the theme for half of all apps...

  * **TROMjaro's theme and [[https://forum.tromjaro.com/uploads/default/original/1X/6a3386102dded513ae84f2ab95cd4892feb0dfc4.mp4|Theme switcher]]** works with like 95% of all apps, so it is super consistent. We have 6 layouts for the [[https://forum.tromjaro.com/uploads/default/original/1X/249dc5de5b5ef5727114082964c67becfb8e92f2.mp4|Layout switcher]]. We run XFCE so it is very fast. Speaking of that, GNOME may feel fast at first in a VM and looking at the RAM consumption will not tell you much anyway, but use Gnome for months and you'll see your computer slows down. We have done that.

  * **Apps installation and availability**. Can this OS provide me with an easy way of installing apps? Do I have access to most Linux apps via the "software center"? Again, [[https://ubuntu.com/desktop|Ubuntu]] and [[https://linuxmint.com/|the like]], provide a nice "software center" but you won't find that many apps there. So that's a big minus.

  * Back to TROMjaro we also have **flatpaks + aur enabled by default, alongside manjaro's repos**. So the apps availability is as good as you can get. One place to install/remove stuff. No need to use a terminal.

So yah, Linux distros should showcase more than how pretty they are and that on the surface with their default apps. People who make such GNU/Linux videos should look deeper.
